Kaikoura (Te Tai o Marokura) Marine Management Area
The key achievement of Te Korowai is the legislation passed in 2014 to protect Te Tai o Marokura - The Kaikōura (Te Tai o Marokura) Marine Management Act - resulting in the formal implementation of many of the tools outlined in the Kaikōura Marine Strategy of 2012. The strategy underpins the act and is the guiding document for Te Korowai.
